Please be advised that we will be performing our spring greens aerification on Monday, March 25.
We are taking advantage of a good weather window – As we all know, Mother Nature can be unpredictable, especially in the spring time!
The course is firming up, which will allow us to transport sand with as little turf damage as possible. The days are getting longer and temperatures now are very suitable for grass to grow, which are vital for a timely recovery.
This essential process reduces compaction & thatch to prevent turf loss. It also allows air, water, and nutrients to reach the root zone. This results in healthier turf that is more resistant to disease, along with better drainage and great playing conditions all season.
We are also calling for volunteers to help our crew with the aerification process. We need help to remove plugs as our staff will have their hands very full. If you can make it, please come at 8:30 AM on Monday.
Thank you for your understanding as we work to make your golf course as good as it can possibly be!
